Senior Carer

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Carer to join us in the Surrey and surrounding areas.

A senior carer normally has worked previously as a care assistant and is now ready to take on more responsibility. You will still work closely with the vulnerable adults and deliver hands on care but you will also be leading and guiding a team of carers. You will build solid relationships and trust with the vulnerable service users, sometimes in challenging situations.

You will be trained in more advanced aspects of care such as medication administration and more documentation.

Requirements

  • Experienced to a least QCF or NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience with shift leadership and management
  • Experience and knowledge of dementia (desirable)
  • Proven track record in a care home environment delivering quality care
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals you support
  • Able to meet compliance requirements that include DBS
  • A minimum of two satisfactory references covering the last three years employment
