Training & Best Practices

All of our agency workers receive the appropriate induction training and annual updates directly from The Health & Safety Group. The majority of the courses are delivered face-to-face and the rest are completed online. This means that we can be absolutely sure that all our temporary workers are completely ready for the appropriate shifts before we place them anywhere, enabling us to be proactive in ensuring that all workers are completely up to date.

The prevention and management of violence and aggression (PMVA) is an important part of safe care practice, especially in formal health care settings. 

These include De-escalation skills; verbal and non-verbal communication; tactical manoeuvres to disengage from an aggressor; and the safe application of physical intervention or restraint manoeuvres, where appropriate.

Healthcare professionals are not only responsible for the safe delivery of medication but also upholding dignity, encouraging independence and respecting choices the service user/patient makes.

Health & Social Care Courses

At Optimumcare4u we have Palliative and end of life training courses and qualifications cover one of the most challenging areas of work for care workers. They will learn the skills required to support the individual and their family with confidence and sensitivity. QCF qualifications include the Level 2 & 3 Award in Awareness in End of Life Care and Level 3 Certificate in working in End of Life Care. 

PEG feed training is aimed at healthcare professionals and social care workers that are responsible for supporting individuals with their Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy.

Our Registered Nurses have experience of using a Syringe Driver already, and have the knowledge and skills associated with caring for an individual who requires this for symptom management.

Our nurses, healthcare assistant and practitioners working in a clinical environments are wound care trained and are confident in cleansing, infections, dressing wounds and the monitoring the healing process.
